Besty.Jefferis

Betsy C. Jefferis first joined Phillips, Spallas & Angstadt LLP in May 2016 where her practice includes personal injury and premises liability defense. After a brief hiatus, Ms. Jefferis rejoined the firm in September 2017. Ms. Jefferis was previously an Associate Attorney with Brown Bonn & Friedman LLP, where her practice focused on insurance defense including construction defect representing subcontractors and general contractors. She also possesses experience in mortgage banking representing lenders and bankruptcy defense.

Ms. Jefferis received her Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2011. During law school, Ms. Jefferis served as a 1L and 2L class officer with the Student Bar Association while clerking for a boutique law firm in Pearland, Texas where she gained experience in family law as well as non-profit taxation. Ms. Jefferis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in both History and Political Science with a Certificate of International Relations from Southern Utah University in 2004.
