Ms. Yang received her Juris Doctorate degree and graduated with honors from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2014. During law school, Ms. Yang was awarded placement in the Honors Lawyering Program at Golden Gate University in which she participated in an intensive skills-focused summer session following her first-year curriculum and worked at two full-time apprenticeships for two full semesters. She also participated in the appellate advocacy program at Golden Gate University and served on the moot court board. Ms. Yang has also received two CALI Awards for Excellence.

Ms. Yang has served as an intern for the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office, as a legal officer for a refugee rights organization in Bangkok, Thailand, and as a law clerk and attorney for a real estate and family law firm. She has also provided services at consumer debtor’s rights and tenant’s rights clinics. In 2013, Ms. Yang worked as a law clerk for Phillips, Spallas, & Angstadt, LLP, and focused on tort litigation. In 2015, she joined the firm as an attorney.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Yang earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Deviance with a minor in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She also worked at two personal injury law firms prior to attending law school in 2011.

Ms. Yang is admitted to practice in the State of California. She is also fluent in Hmong.
