San Francisco Office Settles Case for Hundreds of Thousands Less Than Final Demand at Mediation

Todd Angstadt and Jessica Pliner substituted into this landlord-tenant case venued in Alameda Superior Court shortly before trial after the close of discovery. While the case initially appeared beyond settlement, we aggressively handled the case, filed a number of motions and convinced plaintiffs in September 2009 to settle the case for several hundred thousand dollars less than their final demand at the mediation that preceded our entry into the case.
