San Francisco Team Wins Summary Judgment in Client’s Favor

Attorneys Robert K. Phillips, Alyce W. Foshee, and Britney N. Karim secured a summary judgment for our client, an international retailer, in a case brought in Kings County Superior Court. Plaintiff alleged our client’s personnel dropped a 400-lb stack of boxes on top of him when he was in the client’s back lot engaged in the unlawful removal of recyclables. The Court agreed with the defense in finding that our client did not owe a duty of care to Plaintiff and that Plaintiff’s conduct was the cause of his injuries, resulting in summary judgment being entered in favor of our client.
