Samantha Acuña is an associate in the firm’s San Francisco office. She represents individuals and entities in a wide range of disputes, including auto-UM, premises liability, wrongful death, insurance defense, and products liability matters.
Ms. Acuña received her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her Master’s in Management, Organizations, and Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2017. In law school, she received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award and Witkin Award for Mindfulness, Emotional Truthfulness, and Lie Detection in Trial, Dispute Resolution, and Negotiation. She was a Summer Associate at an international law firm in their Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, where she gained experience representing global companies in high-profile cases. She was also a Law Clerk at a litigation law firm for two years, where she worked on labor and employment disputes. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for two Fortune 500 tech companies on their in-house legal teams, tackling a variety of legal issues.
Ms. Acuña received her Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Relations with honors from the University of California, San Diego after three years. She also attended a Postgraduate Program in Marketing Strategy at Cornell University. She speaks fluent Tagalog and Hiligaynon, as well as intermediate Spanish. She is licensed to practice law in California. Ms. Acuña is a member of both the USDC Northern District Court of California and USDC Eastern District Court of California.
