William J. Cortes is an associate attorney in our Las Vegas office where he advocates for both individuals and entities across a diverse array of civil litigation matters.
Mr. Cortes earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. During his time there, he competed in mock trial and moot court competitions and served as an editor on the Texas Review of Litigation. He also interned for the Texas Office of the Attorney General, gaining exposure to complex, multi‐state compliance litigation.
Prior to joining Phillips, Spallas & Angstadt LLP, Mr. Cortes practiced litigation in several other firms, with a focus ranging from patent infringement cases to premises liability actions.
Outside of his advocacy, Mr. Cortes enjoys lifting weights and reading novels. He is a second generation LA Dodgers fan and sushi lover.
