Associate Nick Wood Prevails on Appeal to Uphold Our Client’s Trial Court Victory

Congratulations to associate attorney Nick Wood of our San Francisco Office, who recently prevailed on appeal to affirm a successful trial verdict in favor of his clients in an automobile incident. On appeal, Appellant alleged that the trial court erroneously entered key evidence of an expert doctor’s report and erroneously upheld our clients’ successful CCP 998 Offer to Compromise to collect expert witness costs from the Appellant. After oral argument in the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, the Appellate Court upheld our clients’ trial court victory in its entirety. As a result, our clients were declared the prevailing party for the purposes of cost recovery in both the appellate court matter and trial court matter.
