Image_Sandra_BlockSandra L.  Block is an attorney in our Los Angeles office, with extensive expertise in complex civil litigation, transactional and business advisory matters.

Ms. Block’s concentrated areas of practice include complex landlord-tenant disputes, premises liability, homeowner’s association disputes, real estate, contractual disputes, fraud, business torts,  professional liability, breach of fiduciary duty, and general liability matters.  Her practice also includes advising and representing clients on matters involving real estate and business acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and property management.  Ms. Block also has experience advising clients in business entity formation and governance.  Her transactional experience includes a wide variety of product types including, multifamily, retail, office, sale/leaseback, convenience stores, and restaurants.

Ms. Block has a stellar track record in prevailing on motions for summary judgment.  She implements creative strategies to extricate her clients early and efficiently.   Additionally, her extensive experience in both litigation and transactional matters provide her with a unique perspective for handling and solving complex cases.

Ms. Block grew up in the Los Angeles area and graduated from Brandeis University with Honors and earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School where she was the Senior Articles Editor of the school’s law review and on the Dean’s List. Prior to law school, she was a deputy to Los Angeles City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski and she also served on Mayor Richard Riordan’s policy team.

As for community activities, Ms. Block serves as the co-chair for the Brandeis University Lawyers Alumni Association, is a former board member of the Los Angeles Women’s Appointment Collaboration, and is former President of Crestview Association.
