Nevada Court Grants Defendant’s Motion for Judgement as a Matter of Law in Premises Liability Action

Robert Phillips and Brenda Entzminger obtained a defense judgment in favor of Wal-Mart, following a jury trial in September 2015. Although the jury had originally awarded over $718,000 in favor of the plaintiff, the United States District Court, District of Nevada granted the defendant’s motion for judgment as a matter of law, overturning the verdict in favor of plaintiff and entering judgment in favor of Wal-Mart. Rios v.
