San Francisco Attorneys Prevail on Motion for Summary Judgment in Negligent Security Case

Attorneys Robert K. Phillips and Jessica Stuart Pliner successfully obtained a dismissal of a negligent security case against their clients. The plaintiff sought general and special damages in the seven figure range for his injuries following an altercation in our clients’ parking lot resulting in a gunshot wound to the Plaintiff’s neck. We filed a motion for summary judgment, arguing that our clients’ conduct was not a substantial factor in causing the plaintiff’s injuries. Alameda County Superior Court Judge Brenda Harbin-Forte agreed and granted the motion.
