Baylie A. Hellman is an associate attorney in our Las Vegas office. Prior to joining Phillips, Spallas & Angstadt LLP, Ms. Hellman spent several years as a partner at a private criminal defense firm which garnered her extensive trial and appellate experience, including oral argument in front of the Nevada Supreme Court.
Born and raised in Colorado, Ms. Hellman attended Metropolitan State University of Denver where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She then made her way to the desert to obtain her Juris Doctorate from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Boyd School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Hellman was a member of the editorial board of the Nevada Law Journal, a pro bono honors recipient, she completed mediation training with the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution, and received a CALI Award in Trial Advocacy. Ms. Hellman spent her first year after law school as a judicial law clerk in the First Judicial District Court of Nevada where she gained insight into a wide variety of legal matters, including criminal law, family law, probate, election law, general torts, civil rights, complex civil litigation, and more.
In her free time Ms. Hellman enjoys spending time at home with her dogs, traveling with her husband, and baking treats for friends and family.
