Siyu (Joan) Yi is an associate attorney in the firm’s San Francisco office. She represents clients in a variety of disputes, including personal injury, auto‐UM, and landlord‐tenant defense.
Ms. Yi received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2018 where she served as a team member for the Charleston School of Law Moot Court Competition. She served as a judicial extern for Hon. LeRoy Martin at the Circuit Court of Cook County, Criminal Division, and as a legal intern at the Office of University Counsel.
Prior to law school, Ms. Yi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at China University of Political Science and Law where she served as a researcher for the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Yi worked as a defense attorney representing employers and insurance carriers concerning injuries or death arising out of employment for United States military contractors. She also worked at another San Francisco law firm handling cases in civil litigation and trust and estate administration.
Ms. Yi is admitted to practice law in all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
